OpenAI’s ChatGPT is now available on WhatsApp
OpenAI’s chatbot, ChatGPT, is now available and accessible on WhatsApp. However, for now, the chat bot is limited to text only. In other words, ChatGPT cannot compete completely with Meta AI on the social messaging app.
More so, ChatGPT is not integrated on WhatsApp like Meta AI. But the advantage of ChatGPT on WhatsApp is that it can work on both WhatsApp and WhatsApp Business. Unlike Meta AI that’s limited to WhatsApp only.
To use ChatGPT on WhatsApp, you must add 1-800-ChatGPT (1-800-242-8478) to your contact list and message the contact on your WhatsApp. You can use ChatGPT on WhatsApp the same way you use it on web and app, so far it’s text only.
The good part of this is that no account is required to use ChatGPT on WhatsApp. However, OpenAI is working on how users can log-in to their ChatGPT accounts directly from WhatsApp to use extra features, such as chatting with images, using SearchGPT, and more.

Similarly, OpenAI has also set up the ChatGPT’s WhatsApp Number as a hotline for users in the U.S. and Canada. With the number, you can call ChatGPT and ask any questions the way you use the regular app. The ChatGPT hotline is also 1-800-242-8478, and the service works on any phone.
Currently, OpenAI provides 15 minutes of free voice calls per month through the hotline, and it’s completely toll-free. In other words, you can only spend 15-minutes on call talking to the chat bot for free. If you surpass the minute, you will be charged by your network provider.
To gain full access to the ChatGPT features and services, you need to log in to your ChatGPT accounts directly via ChatGPT.openai.com or through the mobile app.
